The Toro ‘Ecological Rosé’ represents a bottle rich in hints of red fruits and aromatic herbs produced in the province of Zamora by Bodegas Piedra through a highly sustainable agronomic approach, based on the principles of certified organic farming. The Rosés of the Toro denomination are traditionally produced from a blend of Tinta de Toro and Garnacha, but the version by Bodegas Piedra exclusively uses Tinta de Toro, the main variety of the area. Like other labels from the estate, the ‘Ecological Rosé’ also features an animal, specifically the kingfisher.

Toro ‘Ecological Rosé’ Bodegas Piedra is a 100% Tinta de Toro grown under certified organic conditions on alluvial soils within the Bocarraje plot, planted in 1967 with the bush training system. After the manual harvest of the grapes in 20-kilo crates, a meticulous selection of the bunches follows, and then the gentle pressing. Subsequently, the must is extracted using the bleeding technique and subjected to alcoholic fermentation in French oak barriques at controlled temperature, the same type of wine containers where the wine matures on fine lees for 3 months with weekly batonnage. At least another 90 days of resting in glass follows before hitting the market.

The ‘Ecological Rosé’ Toro by Bodegas Piedra has a bright pink color with garnet reflections. The nose offers sensations of red fruits, including prominent notes of raspberry and wild strawberries, accompanied by slight spicy nuances and fresh hints of aromatic herbs. Taste juicy, fresh, and pleasantly fruity, with a savory and slightly aromatic finish.
