Trento Spumante Brut Blanc de Blancs Maso Martis
Organic and biodynamicTrento Spumante Brut Blanc de Blancs from the well-known Maso Martis winery is an elegant and refined wine with a fresh mountain flavour. It is produced with only Chardonnay grapes, carefully harvested and selected by hand and aged for about 24 months on its own yeasts. The colour is pale straw yellow with a very fine and persistent perlage, the bouquet is intense and recalls the fruity and floral scents typical of the variety with a finish reminiscent of bread crust. The taste is fresh, mineral, delicate, with a long and balanced finish.
The Blanc de Blancs Brut by Maso Martis finds its origins near Trento, particularly in the area of Martignano at the foot of Monte Calisio, historically suited for grape cultivation, as it has been present since the end of the 19th century. The winery is family-run and in 2020 it reached thirty years of activity; on this occasion, the design of the labels was rethought, giving them a new graphic look: cleanliness, linearity, and elegance are the goals that have been set, preferring for each product a foil that outlines the name of the wine, providing greater aesthetic refinement.
The Chardonnay grapes of the Blanc de Blancs Brut by Maso Martis are found on predominantly clayey and calcareous soil, with a significant presence of Trentino red rock capable of giving the product an unusual freshness; the soil is cultivated with biennial or triennial organic fertilization and with alternating row cultivation. The harvest is done by hand, the grapes placed in small boxes where soft pressing takes place, the separationof the yeasts and finally the preparation of the cuvée; with the arrival of the spring following the harvest, bottling takes place with the addition of selected yeasts, followed by aging for 18-24 months with the relevant remuage and finally arriving at packaging.
The Brut Blanc de Blancs Maso Martis presents itself in the glass with a pale straw yellow; an intense and fragrant aroma of yeast envelops the nose and a fine, yet persistent perlage captivates the eye, enticing the drinker to give the palate a balance of freshness and elegance. It is a good ally at the table in combination with fish dishes, served both as appetizers and as main courses, not to mention that it also pairs excellently with risottos and vegetable side dishes.
Recommended product to accompany the magic of the holidays, as well as summer aperitifs with lifelong friends in rustic or countryside locations, in line with the love for nature and the environment that the Maso family has pursued for thirty years.
