This Spumante Brut by Endrizzi is a hymn to the Trento DOC, a denomination that narrates one of the most important Italian sparkling wines. Endrizzi, a production reality strongly linked to the territory, loves to dedicate itself to it with various labels within its range. Specifically, this Brut matures on the lees for 24 months, and thrives on intense aromas, in which Chardonnay and Pinot Noir manage to lend some of their own distinctive qualities to the final blend. A label that flows in the mouth with flavour, to be savoured to the last drop.
The Trento Spumante Brut is made by Endrizzi from a blend where, alongside a percentage of Chardonnay, we also find Pinot Noir. Both varieties are cultivated on small plots in the Val di Cembra area. The bunches are harvested by hand and whole grapes are sent for soft pressing, a phase that takes place in an closed atmosphere to reduce oxidative phenomena. The first fermentation is conducted in stainless steel tanks, while the second follows the production principles of the Metodo Classico or Champenoise method. The Spumante stays on the lees for two years, at which point disgorging, dosage - minimal so as not to alter the natural characteristics of the grapes - and bottling begin.
This Trento Spumante Brut reveals itself to the eye with a straw-yellow colour, crossed by slight greenish reflections and a fine, persistent perlage. The olfactory spectrum revolves around crisp, refined aromas, from which a clear note of fruit immediately emerges, enriched by citrus sensations and nuances of yeast. On the palate, it has a lively structure, which leverages a sip marked by a savoury, fresh core; it closes with a long finish.
