“Er Giancu” is a white wine from Liguria that is fresh and energic. It is produced with maceration on the skins for about 1 month. Scents of Mediterranean herbs introduce to an expressive and dynamic taste, plesantly savory and mineral. Wine made with old style artisanal methods, Triple A

L'U Giancu di Possa is a white wine of great territorial adherence, synthesis of sea and scrub and a true example of heroic viticulture. A term sometimes used improperly, but in the case of the Possa family and the splendid view of the Cinque Terre, this expression is beyond dispute. Indigenous vines hanging from the rock, overlooking the sea, that gather briny influences. Bosco, Albarola, and Rossese dominate here, and the white varieties also give life to a legendary passito wine, namely the Sciacchetrà. A few hectares of vineyard that grow without the aid of any chemical or synthetic substances, and that poignantly tell the story of a magical land.

The white wine "U Giancu" is obtained from local white grapes. All the steps taken to produce the wine follow the dictates of minimal intervention, therefore if no chemical or synthetic substances are used in the vineyard and manual harvesting of the grapes is then carried out, in the winery the fermentations occur spontaneously, with a prior slight cooling of the grapes. Short maceration on the skins,for a liquid that is naturally decanted and then bottled.

The Possa U Giancu presents itself in the glass with a straw-yellow robe, edged with more intense reflections. The liquid, which requires a brief oxygenation in the glass, gradually reveals its marine and Mediterranean essence, with briny and scrub notes. The fruit, with white flesh, is delicate and crunchy, with a barely hinted floral part. On tasting, it once again shows its character, returning the place of origin in a coalescence of salt and freshness, and proving to be extremely smooth, almost "too" given the ease with which the bottle is finished.
