The Valpolicella Brigaldara is a red wine from Veneto with a fresh and soft character, a blend of grapes from vineyards over 30 years old. With a bright ruby red color, it emanates concentrated aromas of cherry, oriental spices, and vanilla that evoke a soft, elegant, and fairly tannic tasting experience.

The Valpolicella, produced by the Brigaldara winery, is the symbolic label of this magnificent hilly territory located northwest of the city of Verona. A land of ancient traditions, already cultivated in Roman times, it has jealously preserved its traditions and identity, also thanks to the presence of some high-quality red grape varieties. The wines of Valpolicella have traversed the centuries always relying on the vineyards of Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, and other local varieties, without yielding to the easy temptation of adopting the most famous international grape varieties. It is precisely thanks to the fidelity to local customs that today we can enjoy great wines that authentically express the terroir.

The red Valpolicella is born in the San Floriano area, where Brigaldara cultivates a magnificent estate among the splendid hills of Valpolicella. The grapes of Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella, used to produce the Valpolicella, come from the Marcellise and Brigaldara parcels, cultivated at an altitude ranging from 150 to 250 meters above sea level. It is about old vines of 40-50 years of age trained in Veronese pergola and Guyot, which are hand-harvested towards the second half of September. The fermentation takes place in steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 22-24 °C, with skin maceration, pump-overs, and délestage. Before bottling, the wine matures for 6 months in steel, in order to preserve the varietal aromas of the grapes intact.

The Valpolicella wine from the Veronese winery Brigaldara is the perfect red to get to know the authentic face of the wines of the territory. While Ripasso and Amarone are the recent creations of Valpolicella, its history and identity are primarily identified with this label. In the glass, it presents a bright ruby red color. The olfactory profile offers intense aromas with notes of ripe cherry, small berries, marasca, and delicate spicy hints. Smooth and agile on the palate, it is a medium-bodied, harmonious, and lively red, with fragrant, juicy fruit and fine tannins. The finish is pleasantly fresh and fruity.
