Santi's Valpolicella Ripasso Classico Superiore 'Solane' is one of the winery's classic wines, a traditional red from the Veronese valleys. The ripasso method on the marc of Amarone gives Solane intensity and structure. The nose is rich: cherries in spirit, morello cherry jam, vanilla and spices. The palate is warm, balanced, with velvety tannins and a toasty finish. A particularly smooth expression of this style, to be tried with first and second courses of meat
