The Valpolicella Ripasso by Santa Sofia is a red wine from Veneto that "passes over" the skins of Amarone and Recioto for about 3 days. On the nose, notes of maraschino cherry, dehydrated plums, dried flowers, sweet spices, and licorice emerge. With good concentration and enveloping character, it displays structure, warmth, and personality, wrapped in sustained freshness and a chiseled tannin.
