The Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico di Montecappone is a light and immediate white wine, with excellent drinkability, vinified only in steel with a few months resting on the fine lees. It has aromas of white flowers, fresh fruit, and wild herbs. The sip is delicate, light, refreshing, smooth, and easy to drink.

The Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico from Montecappone is a fresh and fruity wine made from one of the most interesting and long-lived Italian white grape varieties. It originates in the wonderful hilly landscape of the Jesi countryside, nestled between the Apennines and the Adriatic Sea. It is a version of Verdicchio that focuses primarily on varietal fragrance and the expressive immediacy of the sip. The vinification only in steel highlights the floral face and the classic aromas of white fruit from the grape. The typical freshness of Verdicchio gives the drink a clear expressive liveliness and extraordinary pleasantness. It is a perfect wine to pair with a seafood menu.

The Verdicchio Classico Castelli di Jesi is born in the vineyards of one of the reference producers in the Jesi area. The Montecappone estate extends over about fifty hectares cultivated almost exclusively with Verdicchio in the locality of Colle Olivo. The vines take root in medium-textured soils of clay-limestone origin, with a good presence of skeleton. The sunny and Mediterranean climate is mitigated by the proximity of the sea and allows excellent ripening of the grapes with intense profiles. At the center of the project is always the extraordinary quality of the grapes, which are transformed into wine while trying to preserve all their aromatic characteristics, without invasive oenological interventions. The Montecappone wines are among the most faithful to the grape variety and the territory, made in the wake of the best tradition of Jesi.

The Verdicchio Classico dei Castelli di Jesi from the Montecappone winery is the result of careful manual harvests and various fermentations in steel tanks, carried out only with perfectly ripe grapes. In the glass, it presents a straw-yellow color with slight greenish reflections. The olfactory profile expresses delicate scents of white flowers, citrus aromas, white-fleshed fruit, and nuances of wild herbs from the Mediterranean scrub. On the palate, it is agile and smooth, with a juicy and delicate sip that anticipates a long, fresh, and savory finish. An excellent wine to drink young, but also to forget in the cellar for a few years.
