The Vermentino "Veor" from Sardegna by Quartomoro is a white wine that interprets one of the most important grape varieties of the entire island in a minimalistic way. Vermentino is indeed a grape variety that is widely cultivated throughout the peninsula, taking on different faces depending on the region. In Sardegna, it flourishes from north to south and can present itself with various facets. In the version gifted to us by Quartomoro, it takes on a Mediterranean profile, where freshness and minerality outline a drink with clear and precise contours. A label that at the table is a true passepartout, ideal for all occasions!
The Vermentino "Veor" from Sardegna Quartomoro is born from different parcels of vineyards, characterized by a mixed soil composition, where clays, sand, and limestone can be found. The vines grow with the counter-espalier system and the harvest is carried out manually, in crates. The grapes obtained from the destemming of the bunches are gently pressed, and then a static decantation is carried out. After racking, fermentation begins, which takes place in steel at a controlled temperature.controlled. The production process concludes with a quick passage in steel containers lasting 4 months.
The Vermentino "Veor" by Quartomoro presents itself to the eye with a straw yellow color, crossed by light veins tending more towards greenish. The nose is structured around an evident imprint that recalls aromatic herbs, enriched then by fruity touches and mineral effluvia. On the palate, it is light-bodied, harmonious, with a sip that envelops the palate with dynamism, also thanks to a fresh and savory vein.
