The Vermentino by Laura Aschero is a fresh, delicate, and smooth Ligurian white wine. Its aromatic profile is representative of the land from which it comes: scents of wildflowers, rosemary, thyme, and yellow fruit. The sip is soft, harmonious, and refreshing, with a beautiful personality.

The Vermentino Riviera Ligure di Ponente from the Laura Aschero winery represents a fragrant and balanced expression of Vermentino grapes, a variety traditionally grown in the regions of Sardinia, Tuscany, and, indeed, Liguria. The origin of this grape variety is probably to be traced back to the Middle East, from where it first spread to Spain and subsequently to Corsica during the 14th century. Soon after, Vermentino landed in Sardinia and then in Tuscany and Liguria, demonstrating its preference for the coastal areas of the Mediterranean. The Laura Aschero winery interprets this variety by enhancing its intense floral and fruity character.

The Riviera Ligure di Ponente Laura Aschero Vermentino comes from only grapes of the same white grape variety grown on hilly soils in a Mediterranean climate, characterized by good temperature variations between day and night. Following the harvest, the bunches are transferred to the winery where they are vinified through a few hours of contact between the must and the pomace, an operation aimed at enhancing the aromatic expression and color of the wine.It is followed by soft pressing and then the alcoholic fermentation of the must in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of about 20 °C. The wine then remains to mature in steel for a few months until the final bottling.

The Riviera Ligure di Ponente Vermentino by Laura Aschero has a pale straw yellow hue. Fresh and subtle aromas of rosemary, thyme, and wildflowers characterize the olfactory profile along with fruity sensations of apricot and pineapple. The tasting reveals an excellent balance between softness and freshness, with a pleasant aromatic persistence that contributes to the great personality of this Vermentino.
