The Vesuvio Rosé 'Ereo' from Cantine Olivella is a rosé wine from Campania born from a blend of Piedirosso, Guarnaccia Nera, and Sciascinoso, three historic varieties from the Vesuvius area. On the nose, it offers delicate aromas of yellow-fleshed fruit, citrus zest, and violet petals, while the palate is teased by a fresh and pleasantly mineral sip, characterized by good acidity and a delicate softness on the palate. Ideal to pair with seafood and shellfish platters!

Cantine Olivella Vesuvio Rosato ‘Ereo’ is a Campanian rosé wine that is appreciated for its tasty savory and mineral character. This bottle represents the 2.0 generation of rosés, expressions endowed with a certain character and complexity while not skimping on the exceptional smoothness that has always distinguished this type of wine. Cantine Olivella produces ‘Ereo’ starting from a blend of grape varieties traditionally grown in the Vesuvio area with the aim of proposing a label that tastes of the territory, just like the rest of the range. The name ‘Ereo’ means “of copper,” referring to the characteristic coppery color of this wine.

The Vesuvio Rosato ‘Ereo’ by Cantine Olivella comes from an equivalent blend of Piedirosso, Guarnaccia Nera, and Sciascinoso, local varieties grown in sandy volcanic soils in the shade of the Vesuvio. The plants, cultivated organically at an altitude of 600 meters above sea level, are over 50 years old and are located within the municipality of Sant’Anastasia. After the harvest, the grapes are vinified into rosé through a short skin maceration, with the alcoholic fermentation taking place in stainless steel tanks, the same containers where the mass remains to mature for a few months until bottling.
