Il Villa Capolista an intense and well-structured red wine from Merlot, Carmenere, Cabernet Sauvignon and Raboso grapes, aged for 18 months in barrique. From its complex aromatic profile emerge notes of blackberries and wild spices. The taste is elegant and full-bodied, with firm tannins

The Villa Capodilista produced by La Montecchia Conte Emo Capodilista is a classic Bordeaux blend, made in the Colli Euganei area with the grape varieties Merlot, Carmenère, Cabernet Sauvignon, and an addition of the native Raboso. These are grapes that have dwelled in these lands for centuries, where they have proven to express themselves at high qualitative levels. It is a deep and structured red aged for a long time in barrique, representing one of the best excellences of the Venetian winery.

The wine Villa Capodilista is produced by one of the most historically rich and traditional wineries in the Colli Euganei area. The origins of the estate date back to the distant 1100. Even today, the winery works in the wake of centuries-old tradition, producing high-quality wines that are very faithful to the characteristics of the territory and expressions of the grape varieties historically cultivated in this area of Padova. The grapes of Merlot, Carmenère, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Raboso are cultivated in the estate's cru of the Montecchia hill, which hosts a historic vineyard beautifully exposed to the south, southwest at an altitude of about 40 meters above sea level. The vines are cultivated with a density of 6000 plants per hectare and take root in a soil of clay and trachytic rock of volcanic origin, which gives the wine a particular savory and mineral profile. Fermentation takes place with skin maceration lasting about 15-20 days. It rests for 18 months in barrique and ages in the bottle for at least 6 months before bottling.

The red Villa Capodilista, although made primarily using international grape varieties, retains a typically territorial face, given by the strong character of the ancient volcanic soils of the Colli Euganei. It colors in the glass with a noble intense ruby red robe. On the nose, it releases a very rich bouquet, with aromas of ripe red fruit, berries, spices, wild herbs, and licorice root. On the palate, it has remarkable structure, with complex and evolved aromas, a tannic texture well integrated into the body of the wine, and a long, savory finish with great aromatic persistence.
