Viognier 'Montedonico' Terenzi 2024
The Viognier "Montedonico" from the Terenzi winery is a still white wine with fruity hints, perfect for an aperitif with friends. The name refers to the vineyard where the grapes of the homonymous variety are harvested and selected before being vinified and aged in steel tanks. The color is straw yellow and the aromatic bouquet expresses hints of ripe summer fruits like apricot and peach, with light nuances of white flowers. The taste is wraparound, mineral, with citrus memories and a fresh finish.
The Viognier "Montedonico" by Terenzi is a particularly fresh and fragrant version of the French grape variety. In the Rhône Valley and particularly in the famous area of Condrieu, Viognier produces whites of extraordinary richness and aromatic complexity. Terenzi's choice was to propose a wine in line with the tradition of the Tuscan coast. Thus, a white wine is born, which while maintaining the varietal typicity of the grape, focuses mainly on expressive immediacy and drinkability. It is a white with a gastronomic face, very suitable for pairing with seafood first courses, baked fish, or semi-aged cheeses from the area.
The "Montedonico" is a pure Viognier, which originates from the Terenzi estate in Scansano. The process of studying and zoning the soils has allowed for each variety to be planted in the most suitable location, in order to obtain grapes of excellent quality and with very rich and intense varietal aromas. Viognier is cultivated in the Montedonico vineyard, characterized by the presence of soils of with a pleasant freshness.
