Terenzi
Terenzi is a reality that since 2001 has been cultivating the fascinating rows of Sangiovese from Maremma in Scansano, immersed in one of the most idyllic countryside settings in Italy. Their Morellino is born in one of the most unspoiled areas of the entire Tuscany region, Maremma, nestled between the valleys of the Ombrone River and the Albegna River, where geology and a favorable climate are the main determining factors for high-quality viticulture. The estate extends over the Maremma hills for 150 hectares, of which 60 are vineyards and 14 are centuries-old olive trees, which flow into a modern winery, the beating heart of the company, in line with the aesthetics of the territory but greatly evolved on the technological level.
The Morellino di Terenzi is born from the hands of a passionate family, originally from Milan but soon devoted to viticulture, who found in the Scansano area a place to fall in love with: the three siblings Federico, Balbino, and Francesca bring with them ambitious but not impossible ideas, and certainly understand the enhancement of their territory through great wines that is capable of producing, if interpreted correctly. With full respect for the surrounding environment, terroir expressions are vinified with care and expertise, also thanks to the work of winemakers Beppe Caviola and Roberto Racca.
The Terenzi winery boasts a line of Morellino di Scansano that is now appreciated all over the world, despite the young age of the company, and takes pride in the greatness of its Madrechiesa, the symbolic wine of this wine reality: it evokes sacredness and family, austerity and authority, love and dedication. It takes its name from a locality where the homonymous vineyard is located, from which the winemaking project started, from which a high-quality Sangiovese is obtained, subjected to a rigorous selection and a processing in the winery that aims to bring Maremma back into the spotlight of the greatest gastronomic stages.
