You say Manduria and you read Primitivo because you can't not talk about this area without mentioning the noble Apulian grape variety. The Produttori di Manduria, who call themselves the "masters of Primitivo," know this well. This is a cooperative that was founded in 1932 with the intention of bringing together all the Apulian producers who love this grape and its land of origin. A plan that was designed by the minds of a group of winemakers-craftsmen with the goal of contributing to the affirmation of Puglia's greatest grape variety, which until the 1990s was mainly destined to enrich Italian and French reds. Today we can call it a true model because it represents Manduria and its Primitivo throughout the world. Within it there are 400 winemaking members spread over 900 hectares, represented by President Fulvio Filo Schiavoni. The estate also houses the "Museum of Wine Civilization," which traces the ancient tradition of the area through old farm machinery and tools that were used in the vineyard.

The vines are trained mostly to spurred cordon and a smaller part to sapling, according to the historical traditions of the area. Winery operations are followed very closely to give light to expressions of great character. Within this circle of producers are a high number of highly experienced artisans who, in addition to producing according to the old philosophies of thought, advise and help emerging producers. On the other side lives modernity, thanks to the help, studies and research provided by the University of Bari. In short, a project of which it is difficult not to be fond and which shows the truest and most sincere side of Puglia.

The wines of Produttori di Manduria are distinguished by their expressive richness, Mediterranean warmth and that exquisite silky smoothness. A large number of labels are produced, from whites based on Fiano and Chardonnay, to great reds, made from Primitivo, Negroamaro or Malvasia Nera. In short, wines that speak of Puglia and its deepest essence.
