Spagnoli Ilenia
The history of the Spagnoli company is rooted in the heart of Liguria, in the municipality of Arcola, between the Magra river and the sea, at 130 meters above sea level. Here, in the early '40s, grandfather Celeste began the recovery of the damaged terraces from the hardships of the war. Father Andrea continued the work in the '70s, giving the small family business greater organization and transforming the activity into a reference point for the production of Vermentino. Passion and knowledge are passed down from generation to generation, with Ilenia Spagnoli, daughter of Andrea, who joined the company in 2016, determined to revive the winemaking traditions of her ancestors, with a more natural and sustainable approach.
treated exclusively with copper and sulfur to prevent diseases, without the use of chemical substances. The grapes, hand-picked, are vinified with spontaneous fermentations, without any invasive intervention. The winery, which follows an organic regime, uses fermentations in cement tanks and long macerations, without clarifications or filtrations, to maintain the authenticity of the wine.
The style of Spagnoli wines is characterized by a marked expression of the territory, where each bottle tells the story of a unique area. The complexity and sapidity of these wines, combined with their long persistence, perfectly reflect the exceptional microclimate of the area. Ilenia Spagnoli's approach has given new life to a product that not only respects traditions but also tells the strength and passion of a territory in every sip.
