Alla Costiera is a genuine viticultural reality of the Euganean Hills, in Veneto, which embraces a production philosophy based on sincere respect for the ecosystem and the non-invasiveness of the wine making process. The project officially took hold with the 2000 harvest thanks to the founder Filippo Gamba, son of a family of winemakers, seriously willing to give prominence to his land, the same where he was born and raised and where he embarked on this adventure to produce healthy wines. Filippo operates partly on the west side of the Euganean Hills, with vineyards owned in Vo' Vecchio, and partly on the east side, with vineyards managed in Teolo, on Mount Madonna. The name Alla Costiera derives from the slang term "costa", the appellation by which it is called the place where the winery is located and at the same time refers to the sunny exposure enjoyed by the vines.

Following the principles of organic farming, Filippo Gamba of Alla Costiera winery raises a peculiar mix of local and other varieties, such as Glera, Garganega, Tai Bianco, synonymous with Friulano, Muscat Blanc, Pinella, Merlot, Carménere and Cabernet Sauvignon. The vineyards, some of them very old, rest on hills made up of soils with a strong limestone component, rich in marly marine sediment, on the west side, as well as siliceous soils of volcanic origin on the east side, characterized by a high presence of trachyte. The harvest is done manually and the wine making approach adopted by Filippo is absolutely artisanal, with fermentations that are completely spontaneous without the use of input and without any clarification and filtration operation, with complete and spontaneous malolactic development on each wine. Almost exclusively vitrified cement tanks are used as wine containers, with the sole exception of Merlot 'Via Nina 900' which ages in wooden barrels. As for wines moved, the fermentation takes place in bottle according to the Ancestral Method or in autoclave following the long Martinotti Method.

Alla Costiera winery is responsible for a limited but pretty varied production, including Prosecco, sparkling refermented in bottle, white and red wines. Each type is united by the strong mineral vein donated by the characteristic soils of the Euganean Hills.
