Antoniolo winery born in 1948 in Gattinara in Northern Piedmont, thanks to the work of Mario Antoniolo, with the help of his daughter Rosanna, who took over the management of the winery in 1980. Today the winery is passed to the children of Alberto and Lorella. The common thread that guides the work of the family Antoniolo through generations is the great love and great respect for the land they farm, trying to apply simple and minimally invasive methods, leaving space to the work of nature. The land of Gattinara has been producing wine since Roman times, as evidenced by archaeological findings. In the vineyards of Gattinara, Nebbiolo grape is grown especially, in these areas is called Spanna from immemorial time. The 11 hectares of the family Antoniolo have from 35 to 40 years of age and grow in areas that are particularly suited to windy climate, southern exposure and a ground-moraine origin of porphyritic volcanic. In the cellar you prefer traditional methods such as soaking with indigenous yeasts for 14-16 days, followed by aging for a period ranging from 18 to 30 months in oak barrels, and finally aging for 12 months in bottle. The wines are fantastic, rich aromas, flavors and sensations that conquer anyone who has the privilege to taste this incredible wines.
