Bigagnoli

The Bigagnoli winery is located on the eastern shores of Lake Garda, in the Veneto municipality of Calmasino di Bardolino. A place that for centuries seems to have been designed for grape cultivation, where the breezes of the lake disperse among the gentle hills and the first Alps that plunge into Garda. Nature dominates the landscape, punctuated by the presence of ancient villages and medieval castles. It is in these lands that this young reality was born in 2012, founded by Alessio Bigagnoli. A long, hard, and tiring job, started in the garage at home with a few bottles and today boasts a highly appreciated production, also exported to Denmark and Belgium. It all began when Alessio in 2012 brought his AKA, a Bardolino Chiaretto Metodo Classico, to the Garage Wine Contest in Genoa and ranked first. At that moment, Alessio, encouraged by the confirmations just received at the fair, realized that garage could become a real winery. Courage, determination, and strength were the necessary elements for the young man to attempt a new stimulating adventure.

The starting point was the vineyard of father Raffaello and brother Giuseppe. He inherited it and began to work on it personally until the harvest. The winemaking phase was followed by friend Renato Corradini, who allowed him to officially realize the project. Today, the vineyards, which are 20-30 years old, extend over an area of 5000 square meters and are planted with the typical grapes of the area: Corvina, Rondinella, Garganega, Molinara, and Oseleta. They rest on a hilly terrain of morainic origin and are trained using the pergola system. In the winery, soft pressing, delicate vinifications, and aging in steel continue to preserve all the winey and fruity parts of the grape.

The Brigagnoli wines are fresh, delicate, and juicy extracts from Lake Garda, to be appreciated at a young age. Bardolino, in its forms of red, sparkling, and chiaretto, is the star of the production and is characterized by a surprising quality/price ratio. They are bottles with a high gastronomic vocation, perfect for everyday tables and that pair easily with a large quantity of dishes.
