The Bindella - Tenuta Vallocaia winery operates in the Montepulciano wine-growing district of Tuscany, making fine wines through the knowledgeable union of tradition and modernity. The project has its roots in the year 1983, when Rudi Bindella, a descendant of a Swiss winemaking family, decided to purchase a small property in Vallocaia, in the Argiano area, comprising a ruin and a few vineyards. In the years that followed, the vineyard estate was expanded, and in 1988 the winery's first Vino Nobile di Montepulciano was marketed. In 1999 Giovanni Capuano, still the technical head of production, joined the estate, while in 2018 the new modern and beautiful winery was inaugurated. Fundamentals of the production philosophy that guides Rudi Bindella and Giovanni Capuano are high quality production and sustainability in the environmental, social and economic spheres.

The 54 hectares of vineyards cultivated by Bindella - Tenuta Vallocaia are predominantly devoted to the traditional varieties Prugnolo Gentile, a local clone of Sangiovese, Colorino, Canaiolo, Mammolo, Trebbiano and Malvasia, flanked by the international varieties Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Cabernet Franc. In addition to vineyards, the estate includes olive groves, fields of arable land and woods, as well as pine and cypress trees, forming a framework of rich biodiversity. The rows of vines fall in the production areas of Argiano, Cervognano, Casalte, Sanguineto and Paterno, characterized by very varied soils and microclimates, highly suited for quality viticulture. The enology adopted by the estate is simple but careful, based on fermentations in stainless steel tanks and aging in tonneau and large French oak barrels.

Nobile di Montepulciano represents the productive fulcrum of the Bindella - Tenuta Vallocaia winery, with labels that have won multiple awards from national and international critics. These are elegant and well-balanced expressions capable of reflecting the identity of the terroir of origin, characterized by persuasive aromas that invite tasting.
