Boatyard Distillery

Boatyard Distillery is a famous distillery from Northern Ireland. Its origins date back to 1890, when the first legal distillery in the region was recognized. It is located on the shores of Lough Erne, in County Fermanagh, and takes its name from an old shipyard on which it was built. Recent history came to life in 2013, when Joe McGirr, after a long experience at some Scottish distilleries, decided to return to his homeland to create his own personal project: to create a great world-class Gin. Production began in 2016, and soon important international recognitions arrived, positioning Boatyard Distillery's labels at the top of production. Before long, the Gin was adopted by the world's most famous bartenders, who declared its success among enthusiasts.

It took just a few years for Boatyard to be known as the most prestigious brand of Irish Gin, and much of the success is due to the expertise of a great team of professionals.  A particular rolewas played by Órlaith, who joined the staff in 2018 as a simple labeler but immediately showcased an extraordinary talent, which soon led her to take care of the distillation process. Artisan processes, in fact, still require significant human input today to make fundamental choices regarding maceration times and distillation cuts, to obtain distillates of exceptional intensity and expressive finesse. A savoir-faire that has now become part of the company and distinguishes it from many other industrial realities.

Boatyard Distillery is also famous for embracing a sustainable vision of business activity, seeking to bring this culture into every aspect of production. The bottle is made only from recycled glass, the cork is made from unpainted natural cork sourced from ecologically managed forests in Portugal. The label is made in England with recycled paper.
