Cavicchioli

Cavicchioli is a historic brand of Lambrusco, known in Italy and around the world. Its history dates back to 1928, when Umberto Cavicchioli, now considered a pioneer of Emilian wine and a glorious father of Lambrusco di Sorbara, began bottling wine from fermented lambrusca grapes in wooden barrels, following the tradition of his ancestors. After the war, his children inherited the management of the winery and, in the 1970s, launched exports worldwide with great success. Today, this production reality has managed to renew itself, intertwining environmental sustainability, cutting-edge technologies, and a connection to tradition, becoming a symbol of liveliness, freedom, and “Italian life style” around the world.

The historic headquarters of the Cavicchioli wineries is located in San Prospero, where all bottling is still carried out today, while the modern production facility is in Bomporto, in the Sorbara district, surrounded by vineyards. The 90 hectares of vineyards owned by the winery extend entirely in the territory of Sorbara and its surroundings, in a territory between the Secchia and Panaro rivers. In the winery, using innovative and technological production methods, the goal is to continue the tradition in modernity, ensuring clear, lively, and impeccable expressions.

The production of Cavicchioli wines is very varied and excels in quality and refinement. The historic line of Tre Medaglie, characterized by an excellent quality-price ratio, is accompanied by the labels of Vigna del Cristo and those of the modern range Millenovecentoventotto, created to celebrate the long history of the winery. For over 80 years, the mission has been to enhance the potential of Lambrusco di Sorbara, making the whole world fall in love with this Emilian excellence.
