Ceretto is one of the great names in Langhe wine. It represents an excellence of one of the most famous territories in the world for the production of fulbodied reds. The Ceretto family has been involved in winemaking for three generations. The winery was founded in Alba in the 1930s by Riccardo Ceretto, a native of Santo Stefano Belbo. Over the following decades, the estate gradually expanded with the acquisition of vineyards in the Roero and Langhe regions, with some highly prized parcels located in the most famous crus of the Barolo Barbaresco appellation territory, such as Bricco Asili and Bricco Rocche. Thanks to an extraordinarily valuable vineyard park, today the winery is able to offer a range of labels, capable of illustrating the best nuances of the terroir.

The Ceretto estate consists of several estates, which make up a mosaic of vineyards of extraordinary value. The Monsordo Bernardina Estate is located near Alba and covers 30 hectares, cultivated around the old farmhouse. The Bricco Rocche Winery is located in the heart of the Castiglione Falletto area and was specially created for the vinification of the most prestigious crus in the Barolo area: Bricco Rocche and Brunate from La Morra, Bussia from Monforte, Prapò from Serralunga d'Alba and Cannubi San Lorenzo from Barolo. The Bricco Asili winery is dedicated to the great Barbaresco wines that are born in the Bernadot cru of Treiso and the Asili of Barbaresco. In the 1970s, in collaboration with the Scavino family, Ceretto founded the winery I Vignaioli di Santo Stefano, with the aim of bringing prestige to Moscato, a traditional wine of the area.

Ceretto was among the first major wineries in the Langhe to address the issue of environmental sustainability and to convert the entire winery to organic and biodynamic farming, a choice that allows the winery to produce healthy wines and to cultivate the vineyard in harmony with the surrounding environment. Over the past two decades, the use of chemicals has been completely abandoned, replacing treatments with sulfur and copper and practicing the green manure technique to fertilize the fields. The grassed inter-rows have also encouraged the presence of rich biodiversity, which ensures a balanced ecosystem. Ceretto wines are the fruit of vineyard work in the sign of nature, followed by cellar practices reduced to a minimum to enhance the purity of grapes of exceptional quality.
