Chateau de Cranne is an ancient winegrowing estate that is committed to development of the Donzac area, a less emblazoned part of the Bordeaux wine region that can boast some of the highest altitudes in the area. The commune of Donzac is located 40 minutes by car southeast of the city of Bordeaux, on the right bank of the Garonne River in the Entre-deux-Mers area. The chateau has been owned by the Lacoste family since 1856 and since 2005 has been led by Vincent Lacoste, the family's sixth generation winemaker. In addition to winemaking activities, the estate offers opportunities to organize events for businesses and individuals, adults and children, which include treasure hunts, escape games, food-wine pairing workshops, and sound journeys.

The Chateau de Cranne estate has 42 hectares of vineyards devoted to the traditional grape varieties Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec among the black varieties, and Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon, Sauvignon Gris and Muscadelle among the white varieties. The plants, rooted on clay, limestone and gravelly soils of alluvial origin, are entirely cultivated under an organic regime, certified since 2005. In the cellar, fermentations occur spontaneously in thermoregulated stainless steel tanks for the intervention of indigenous yeasts only, while the maturation phase always takes place in steel or French oak barrels, depending on the label under consideration. Throughout the winemaking process, the use of enzymes and enological aids is excluded, and most labels are produced without added sulfites.

The Bordeaux-based winery Chateau de Cranne produces genuine expressions, often out of the chorus, including white, red, bottle-fermented and orange wines. The selection is quite broad and diverse, so the styles and types are many. In general, the wines of Chateau de Cranne impress with an engaging freshness and pleasant mineral timbre, as well as affordability and sensory accessibility.
