Gabriele Morra is one of the most interesting wineries in the wonderful and famous territory of the Langhe. It is a family business that is based on a recipe for making wine that has been handed down through the generations since the early 1900s. At that time the Pautasso winery, as it was formerly called, was run by the grandfather of the young Gabriele, who is the current owner, and the oldest traditional grapes, such as Dolcetto, Barbera, Freisa and, of course, Nebbiolo, the king of Piedmont, were already being cultivated with care and dedication. Today the winery is run by Gabriele Testa and Stefano Campaniello, born in 1981 and 1983 respectively, who are two young and proud winemakers with experience in various national and international restaurants. It was precisely in a restaurant that the two young men met for the first time and decided to become partners in 2013, launching the project to restore Gabriele's father's business together. It was certainly not an easy start, although success was quick to follow. The two young men presented their old wines at a competition in Brussels and were awarded the first place, an award that would pave the way for a flourishing future. In fact, Gabriele and Stefano's wines are now a great success in Italy and on international markets, carving out a place for themselves among the great wines of the Piedmont region.

The vines of the Morra Gabriele winery cover about 1.5 hectares and are between 25 and 60 years old. They enjoy a particularly favourable microclimate, and are located in the beautiful and evocative natural landscape of the Langhe, which is rich in charm and has a centuries-old winemaking tradition. Nebbiolo is undoubtedly the variety most dear to the winery, with which the prestigious Barbaresco wine is produced, together with a rich variety of local grapes, including Barbera grown on the Roero soil. The grapes are harvested by hand, without the use of mechanical tools, in order to select the best bunches and bring them to the winery healthy and intact. Fermentation is spontaneous and during vinification and before bottling (which is carried out following the lunar calendar) no invasive filtration is performed.

The wines of Morra Gabriele display an elegant and refined profile, expressing the territory of origin in a pure and sincere way. With a balanced freshness, good tannin, and an intense and deep texture, these enveloping and tasteful red wines are the perfect pairing for the best dishes of the rich Piedmontese cuisine. These are beautiful portrayals of the Langhe area produced by a small, yet impressive company!
