Domain Hudelot-Noëllat is a prestigious winery in the Côte de Nuits, based in Vougeot and managing an estate composed of absolutely exceptional terroirs that have been recognized for centuries as among the best in Burgundy. Created in 1962 by Alain Hudelot, the domaine spreads over a total area of about ten hectares, divided into the communal territories of four villages and 15 Appellations, including the Grand Cru of: Richebourg, Romanée-Saint-Vivant, Clos de Vougeot and the Premier Cru of: Vosne-Romanée Les Malconsorts, Vosne-Romanée Les Suchots, Vosne-Romanée Les Beaumonts, Chambolle-Musigny Les Charmes, Nuits-Saint-Georges Les Murgers, Vougeot Les Petits Vougeot, as well as the Village Appellations of Nuits-Saint-Georges Les Bas de Combes, Vosne-Romanée and Chambolle-Musigny.

The domaine's philosophy has always been geared toward enhancing the value of each individual climat, seeking to bring out its particular characteristics. Over the centuries, patient classification work has created a parcelization of the terroir that has brought out all its nuances. Each wine made in Côte de Nuits is an expression of the unique personality of a cru and allows us to know its authentic face. To achieve this, very careful vineyard management is required so that the vines can express in specific character of the terroir. Pinot Noir is a perfect interpreter of the lands of Burgundy and, thanks to centuries of interaction with the places, is able to bring the taste of the various Appellations into the glass.

The maniacal attention and care given to the vineyard, the true heart of the winery's project, stems from this awareness. Respect for the soil and the natural environment, and cultivation based on very high planting density, make it possible to bring grapes of excellent quality to the harvest. Vinification takes place with minimal human intervention, with fermentations carried out only thanks to indigenous yeasts, so as to preserve the character of typicality of the place of origin of the grapes. Aging takes place in French oak barrels, for a period of about 18 months, so that the wine can acquire the right maturity and harmony.
