Lanson is a historic name in Champagne, always associated with a classic and elegant style. Founded as far back as 1760, it is one of the Maisons with the richest history, which has been able to preserve a family connotation and independent management over the centuries, despite its considerable size. Faithful to the oldest traditions, the famous Maison of Reims has been able to create a strong identity, which has enabled it to establish itself first in France and then throughout the world, with a range of Champagnes of the highest level. Its labels have been on the tables of the Royal Court of England for 120 years, and since the 1970s it has been an official partner of the Wimbledon Tournament, the most famous tennis event in the world.

Lanson's success begins in the vineyard. Its Champagnes are the fruit of a careful selection of grapes of excellent quality. Long-standing relationships with many vignerons allow Lanson to count on a vineyard park comprising more than 100 different crus, at least half of which are cultivated in territories classified as Grand Crus et en Premier Crus. In addition to the grapes from historic vintners, there are also those from the estate's own vineyards, which cover a total of 57 hectares, 16 of which are organically and biodynamically farmed, from which the interesting Green Label Bio Champagne is produced. This is a first experiment, which already indicates the path that the Maison is planning to take in the coming years, to espouse greater environmental sustainability.

Lanson also works in accordance with the oldest practices in the cellar, using four old traditional presses located close to the vineyards, so that freshly harvested, still fragrant and intact grapes can be processed. Each parcel is vinified separately, so as to have the maximum choice of vins clairs when creating the cuvées. The Maison's cellars house the precious treasure trove of reserve wines, which are used in non-vintage blends to produce balanced wines each year, regardless of the weather. The decision not to carry out malolactic fermentation favours a style based on finesse, purity and elegance, a true Lanson trademark.
