Mariotto winery is a family run cellar, located in Vho, a small village on the hills near Tortona. This cellar was founded in 1920 by great-grandfather Bepi, after owned by grandfather Salvatore and later by the father of Claudio, Oreste. In the 90’s are Claudio, his brother Mauro, and their mother Piera to keep this centenary tradition alive. The choice to bet on Barbera and Timorasso grapes is a clear message that wants to communicate how quality and traditions of a landscape are essentials in production of high quality wines. Claudio Mariotto cellar represents an important reality for the national wine making, especially thanks to the excellence reached by the Timorasso wine that has conquered important praises, unbelievable event a few years ago.
