The Monte delle Vigne winery has its roots in the heart of the Parma hills DOC area. Its name, translated as ''Mountain of the Vineyards'', confirms a historical link with tradition and derives from a 13th century statement made by Fra' Salimbene da Parma, who described the hills of his city as ''monti de le vigne'' or ''mountains of the vines''.

The history of the winery began in 1983 in the town of Ozzano Taro with the objective of producing great wines, not limited to semi-sparkling, from native Parma vines. The arrival in the company of the Parmesan entrepreneur Paolo Pizzarotti, who owns a farm bordering the vineyards of Monte delle Vigne, was of fundamental importance for the growth of the winery. In 2006, the new underground cellar was inaugurated, providing the perfect balance between architectural aesthetics and production functionality. The winery embarked on a journey consistent with its values of sustainability and respect for the environment, culminating in organic certification in 2021. Over the years, it has become an established name in the area for its unique ability to express the terroir at its best, as well as its capacity to innovate without forgetting the traditions of its land. Today the winery boasts a property of 40 hectares of vineyards on the gentle hills of Parma, at an altitude of 300 metres, in an ideal microclimate that is influenced by the nearby natural parks of the Taro river and the Carrega woods.

Monte delle Vigne wines are all characterised by an impeccable profile and great character. Whether typical semi-sparkling wines, based on Lambrusco and Malvasia grapes, or full-bodied and structured interpretations, based on Barbera, Cabernet Franc or Malvasia, these wines embody the essence of a unique territory, famous throughout the world for its excellent food and wine.

"Nel 1963 mio padre acquistò questo podere con il sogno di riportare i vigneti su queste colline. Quel sogno compiuto è Monte delle Vigne"
