Quintodecimo

Quintodecimo is famous for being the winery of Professor Luigi Moio, a true leading figure in Italian enology and one of the most important university professors of winemaking. Located in Irpinia, near Mirabella Eclano, it is Luigi's favourite experimental site. He inherited it from his father, a wine grower, and together with his wife Laura transformed it into a real life project, based on years of research, study and exploration in the world of viticulture and enology. One of the most important contributions of this prominent winery is to have developed the concept of art wine, intended as the great expression of a man who combines the qualities of a technician and those of an artist.

The Quintodecimo winery is a production reality of the highest level located in the green heart of Irpinia. The vineyard is organically certified, with cru cultivated with Aglianico, Fiano, Falanghina and Greco di Tufo. Each cru is cared for and perfectly interpreted, to give life to wines that are the full essence of the Campania region, yet at the same time with a production style similar to prestigious labels from Burgundy, where Luigi studied for several years. Each product is created as a true work of art from the perfect interaction between man, time, nature and territory, following a process developed step by step through decades of experience.

The range of Quintodecimo wines includes both full, fruity and impeccable whites as well as bold and complex red wines. Luigi Moio has truly succeeded in creating a small enological jewel in the Campania region, which is an undisputed star of the modern Italian wine scene. The sensations, emotions and flavours that these wines from Irpinia present us with are surely the best lesson that Professor Moio can offer us.
