Reverdy et Fils
Domaine Reverdy Bernard et Fils is a family business that has been rooted in Verdigny, one of the symbolic villages of the Sancerrois region, for generations. The story begins with Bernard Reverdy, who trained his son Noël over the years. Today, Noël runs the business together with his wife Claudine. The vineyard covers approximately 19 hectares divided into over forty plots distributed across the main terroirs of the appellation, with a clear prevalence of Sauvignon Blanc alongside Pinot Noir used for rosés and reds.
The work in the vineyard at Reverdy et Fils follows a philosophy based on sustainability and respect for soil vitality. Cultivation is carefully planned, with targeted interventions and attention to microbial biodiversity, while the plots are developed on highly diverse soils that contribute to creating a range of wines that can be described as a true mosaic. In the cellar, a delicate approach prevails, with soft pressing, low fermentation temperatures and non-invasive operations designed to preserve the varietal potential.
The style of the wines consistently reflects the diversity of the Sancerre terroirs. The Sauvignon whites express freshness, finesse and mineral tension, with a clean and vibrant profile that favours balance and aromatic clarity. The rosés, considered the signature of the domaine, focus on elegance and roundness while maintaining great expressive precision, while the Pinot Noir reds offer a more delicate and fruity register, enriched by partial ageing in wood that adds depth without weighing them down. A range that captures Sancerre in all its nuances, combining freshness, balance and territorial authenticity.
