Roblin is a small, family-owned Domaine that has its historical and productive roots in the prestigious wine-growing area of Sancerre, in the Eastern Loire Valley. It is the brother vignerons Matthias and Emile who represent this production reality today, with a young and innovative entrepreneurial spirit. Deeply in love with this exceptionally chosen terroir, they have taken over the family business since the early 2000s, representing the fourth generation of winemakers.

Since Matthias and Emile rejoined Domaine Roblin, they have invested mainly in vineyard work, resorting to what is known as "raisonnée" or reasoned agriculture, which has at heart respect for the naturalness of the land. The 19 hectares of vineyard spread between Maimbray and Sury-en-Vaux over some 40 plots differing in soil morphology and microclimate, are mostly left grassed to give vigor and vibrancy to the soils and to keep alive the natural biodiversity between the rows. This is also why the use of insecticides and chemical pesticides has been completely eliminated.

Domaine Roblin is known for producing wines that are typical and straightforward of the Sancerre appellation, thus starting with Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir grapes, vinified essentially in thermoregulated steel vats in order to fully enhance the natural characteristics of the grapes and especially of the terroir. The ancient soils on which Roblin's vineyards rest date back to the Kimmeridgian geological period; they are rich in clay and limestone, but mostly composed of marine fossil residues that can still be found today in the vineyard. Precisely because of these specific and unique morphological characteristics, Roblin's wines are universally recognized for mineral strength and savory drive, enlivening the glass sip after sip.
