Roby Marton
The new frontier of quality Italian gin has a name: Roby Marton. It all starts from the intuition of Roberto Marton, a Venetian entrepreneur who, after a long experience in the production and distribution of liqueurs and spirits, dedicates his heart and soul to creating an artisanal gin, produced following the oldest English traditions while respecting the highest quality standards of made in Italy. We are talking about a very small artisanal production that does not exceed 12,000 bottles but has achieved great success in the most elegant and refined venues and gin bars across Europe.
The gin of Roby Marton is produced in Bassano del Grappa in an ancient distillery, respectfully following the ancient English Bathub method, that is, with a long cold infusion of botanicals, which in the past was done at home in bathtubs and today in steel containers. Roby personally takes care of the infusions and uses recipes that are continuously perfected, which include: juniper, citrus peels, cinnamon, licorice, anise, pink pepper, horseradish, ginger, red fruits, cloves, and a secret ingredient, never revealed. Being a "handmade" gin, marketed without being neither filtered nor clarified, each bottle is a unique piece, as Roby reminds us: "Many gins are industrial, always the same. In mine, it can happen that a batch of ginger is spicier, that the color changes." In short, it is an Italian masterpiece, which we recommend enjoying neat on the rocks, possibly with an addition of licorice root or in a classic gin and tonic.
