Sabatini
Sabatini is the brand of a Tuscan Gin, which has distinguished itself for a character of strong territoriality. It is a label that follows the trend spread all over the world, of reinterpreting the classic model of London Dry Gin, adapting it to local botanicals. The project was born from the passion of the Sabatini family for the world of Sprits and for the ritual of the aperitif, as a pleasant convivial moment. The love for spirits and liqueurs is part of the family's history. At the beginning of the last century, their ancestor Guglielmo Giacosa, after obtaining his degree in oenology in Alba, worked in Australia and South America for a famous Vermouth brand. Thanks to this important experience, and to the deep knowledge of the national and international market, he decided to start his own distillery.
From this tradition was born the idea of creating an elegant and refined distillate, which could express the scents and aromas of Tuscany and in particular with the territory of Cortona, the birthplace of the Sabatini family. In Val of Chiana are, in fact, Villa Sabatini and Villa Ugo, the historic properties that represent the original nucleus of the company. The knowledge of the world of Gin and a work conducted with great competence, has allowed the Sabatini brand to stand out in both the Italian and international scene as a representative of the great Tuscan tradition. The Gin has been immediately appreciated for its originality and for the transparency with which it has managed to condense and enhance the authentic spirit of a region loved all over the world for its history, artistic and natural beauties.
The Sabatini Gin is a version of the classic London Dry made exclusively with botanicals that come from the lands of Tuscany, it is no coincidence that the best juniper berries, also used by famous international high-end brands, come precisely from this region. The recipe is based on a balanced blend of: Juniper, Florentine Iris, Coriander, Olive leaves, Sage, Thyme, Lavender, Wild fennel, Lemon verbena. The Gin is a true expression of the terroir of Cortona and is made with a still artisanal processing procedure, which involves long infusions of the botanicals and a very accurate distillation process, in order to preserve all the scents and aromas of the herbs.
