Seimilametriquadri
The Apulian production reality SeiMilaMetriQuadri is committed to the processing of spirits both alcoholic and non-alcoholic that reflect and enhance the most authentic essence of Salento, a territory of rare beauty corresponding to the tip of the heel of the Peninsula. In addition to the desire to celebrate Salento, SeiMilaMetriQuadri supports a sustainable approach at 360°, in harmony with the ecosystem. Behind the project lies the skill and passion of Valerio De Stradis, winemaker and master distiller who, after gaining experience at a distillery, decided to embark on a completely personal adventure to tell the story of his homeland in his own way. From these premises, the botanical spirits of SeiMilaMetriQuadri take shape, authentic expressions of Salento. The name “SeiMilaMetriQuadri” refers to the extent of the family land, where all the botanicals used for the spirit recipes are lovingly cultivated.
The products of the SeiMilaMetriQuadri brand are born from a careful selection of herbs, spices, flowers, and citrus fruits from Salento, including pink pepper, olive leaves, mint, basil, and wild fennel, as well as lavender and orange flowers, rosemary, bay leaves, thyme, and the peels of mandarin, orange, and lemon. The botanicals are hand-worked with the help of a mortar, and the production techniques adopted include those of cold compound, which involves infusing the botanicals in an alcoholic solution, steam distillation, and traditional copper still distillation with infusion directly in the boiler. Throughout the entire production process, the addition of sugars, colorants, and artificial flavors is excluded, in order to fully respect the identity of each botanical spirit.
‘Lu Sule’, ‘Lu Mare’ and ‘Lu Ientu’ are the three labels launched by the SeiMilaMetriQuadrati brand to express the true character of the Salento territory, a land made of sun, sea, and wind. These spirits, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, have been
