The Sirch winery produces wines of great territorial typicality in the splendid natural setting of the Colli Orientali of the Friuli region. It is a family business founded in the mid-1950s, which from generation to generation has passed on a love for its land and a passion for viticulture. It has grown over time as a result of the success of Friulian wines, which since the 1970s, after the creation of the DOC Colli Orientali, have established themselves in the eyes of wine lovers as one of the best national excellences. Today the winery manages a vast property with a surface area of around 100 hectares, subdivided into various estates, which are located in the most suitable areas of the territory, and continues to produce wines based on the ancient tradition, with a focus on quality.

The Colli Orentali includes the hilly area in the province of Udine towards the Slovenian border. This area has always been suitable for the cultivation of vines, thanks to particularly favourable soil and climate conditions. The Julian Alps shelter the vines from the storms that descend from the north-east and the proximity of the Adriatic coast makes the climate temperate and always well ventilated thanks to the gentle breezes. The soils are of ancient marine origin and consist of flysch or 'ponca' as it is known in Friuli. These Eocene marls were formed by the sedimentation of limestone, silt, clay and sandstone, creating stony, crumbly soils that drain well and are rich in minerals. The wines of Sirch are a faithful reflection of the terroir of the Colli Orientali, offering an authentic fusion of fruit ripeness, elegance, freshness and longevity.

The vineyards of the Sirch estate are cultivated in three different areas with distinctive characteristics. The vineyards in Cividale del Friuli are located near the cellar and are immersed in a wonderful hilly landscape. The main body of the estate is located in Orsaria, in the municipality of Primaticcio. There are 50 hectares of terraced vineyards, which descend from the hilly area to the banks of the Natisone river. Finally, in the area of Cladrecis, near Prepotto, and not far from the Slovenian border, there is an estate of 12 hectares of vineyards, which is surrounded by 46 hectares of woods that guarantee a cool climate with considerable temperature variations. The vines cultivated by the Sirch winery are the classic Colli Orientali vines and include the native Ribolla Gialla, Schioppettino, Pignolo and Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso varieties and the international Friulano, Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon, Traminer, Pinot Noir and Merlot.
