Tenuta Sant'Antonio

The origins of the estate date back to 1989, when a farm was purchased in the Monti Garbi area of over one hundred hectares. The first bottlings of the wines from the Soave Doc, Valpolicella Doc, and Amarone della Valpolicella Docg denominations date back to 1995. The development of the company continued in the following years with the inauguration of the new winery in 2000 and the acquisition of other vineyards. Today, it is a well-established reality in Veneto, producing a range of wines with a typically territorial character, which authentically express the best local traditions. The project is the result of the desire of four brothers, who work passionately following the ancient customs of peasant culture, passed down from generation to generation.

Tenuta Sant’Antonio is made up of various farms, extending from the Soave area to the hilly area of Valpolicella. The two areas, located respectively to the east and northwest of Verona, are perfectly complementary: one suited for white grape varieties and the other for red ones. What unites the two territories, instead, have a millennia-old history in the field of viticulture, dating back to the Roman colonization era, when these lands of Veneto were already famous for their abundant grape production and excellent wines.

Valpolicella is characterized by a hilly area crossed by deep valleys, descending from the north towards the plain. The climate is tempered by the nearby presence of Lake Garda and the constant ventilation, which always keeps the grapes healthy. The soils are predominantly calcareous, particularly suitable for the cultivation of red grape varieties. The grape varieties cultivated are the historical ones of the territory, Corvina, Corvinone, Molinara, and Rondinella, which have always been the foundation of local wines. The area of Soave, on the other hand, is of ancient volcanic origin and is characterized by soils composed mainly of basalts, rich in mineral substances, ideal for the needs of Garganega and Trebbiano di Soave. The labels perfectly reflect the authentic face of two great territories of Veneto. These are wines straightforward and sincere, intense and elegant.
