Tequiero
Tequiero is a Mexican distillery that produces Tequila with a touch of Italian modernity. This distillate is born from the passion of Cosimo Fini and Driss El Faria, two Tequila enthusiasts who wanted to create an authentic product, made in a small family distillery in Los Altos, in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico. The Tequero Reposado is the result of an artisanal production process that begins with the cultivation of blue agave, a plant that requires at least 8 years of patient waiting before being hand-harvested by jimadors, expert growers who select only the most mature and sweet plants.
The Tequila from Tequiero is traditionally produced, with a slow process that begins with cooking the agaves, preserving the characteristic flavor without caramelizing it. Natural fermentation lasts from 36 to 40 hours, a crucial step that allows for the development of complex and deep aromas. Three distillations follow, making the liquid increasingly pure and smooth, eliminating any impurities. Aging for 9 months in oak barrels gives the tequila woody notes and a more complex structure, creating a 100% agave product without additives, which keeps the essence of the plant intact. This meticulous and traditional production process ensures a high-quality, authentic, and genuine Tequila.
Tequiero produces Reposado that can be enjoyed neat, to fully appreciate its aromatic nuances, but it is also suitable for cocktail preparation, such as the Paloma, the iconic drink of Mexico. Herbaceous, it follows with sweet and seductive notes. Velvety and harmonious sip, a product that unites Mexican tradition and Italian taste.
