Vada Guido
The Guido Vada Farm has its roots around 1850, when Lorenzo Vada, originally from Neive, moved to Coazzolo, purchasing his first plots of land and beginning to cultivate vines for family production. Since then, generation after generation, the family has preserved and expanded its agricultural heritage, which now extends across the border between Langhe and Monferrato, in the lands of Moscato d'Asti. In the early 2000s, the company took a decisive leap forward with Guido at the helm: it moved from selling bulk wine to bottling, marking a new identity. This is where tradition meets contemporary vision, transforming a farming history into a conscious and ambitious wine-making project. Since 2008, Guido has also been experimenting with dry Moscato, offering an original interpretation of a grape variety that is symbolic of the territory.
The production method reflects an artisanal approach that is deeply respectful of the environment. The vineyards are located on marine sedimentation soils, rich in marl and sand, which give the wines great elegance. The agronomic management excludes pesticides and herbicides: the vines are not forced but guided towards a natural, balanced yield that favours quality and aromatic concentration. In the cellar, vinification is careful and measured, aimed at preserving the varietal identity of Moscato and Barbera without invasive interventions. Respect for the land is not a slogan, but a daily choice that guides every stage, from the vineyard to the bottle. The new generation has been able to integrate technical expertise and modern sensibilities, while keeping the family character of the company intact.
In the glass, Guido Vada wines authentically and precisely reflect the rolling hills of Coazzolo. Moscato d'Asti releases intense aromas of white flowers, sage and peach, with a delicate sweetness supported by vibrant freshness and fine bubbles. The dry version surprises with its structure, measured aroma and savoury finish, capable of accompanying even savoury dishes.
