The Le Monde winery is named after the village of the same name and is one of the most important and modern producers in the Friuli region. It was established in 1970 in the town of Prata di Pordenone, and in 2008 it was acquired by the agricultural company Arcadia, which is owned by Alex Maccan, a young and perspicacious industrial entrepreneur, who has given a new modern touch to the estate. Starting with a small vineyard of about 20 hectares, he has since acquired various plots of land, and now has a total area of more than 100 hectares. Additionally, for this new challenge, Alex brought in Giovanni Ruzzese, a world-renowned enologist, Massimo Furlan, who is involved in marketing and exports, and the skilled agronomist Andrea Pittana, who is Giovanni's consultant and is involved in the operations in the vineyard. The name of the winery has a very ancient history that probably dates back to the Middle Ages from the word 'Munda' which indicated private and privileged estates, which were made such by Germanic laws. The estate is also rooted in ancient local history, with the main house being built as far back as 1700. Culture, tradition, innovation and modernity all coexist and combine in this winery.

The Le Monde vineyard covers a flat area on the western border of the Friuli region, just a few kilometres (if not metres) from the Veneto region. The soils are particularly suitable and well-exposed, composed of gravel layers mixed with clay that are home to plants that are at least 30 years old and trained on Guyot and Sylvoz systems. Alex's work has always focused on environmental sustainability and modern agronomic methods, using state-of-the-art machinery to optimise vineyard operations. In the cellar, Giovanni supervises every step, relying on classic wooden barrels or barriques for the ageing of some wines. The presence of as many as four presses is also important, as they allow for simultaneous work when harvesting the different grape varieties at the same time.

The wines from the Le Monde vineyard are clear expressions of their terroir, with an elegant and clean profile, and without flaws or overstatements. They are produced from the typical grapes most commonly grown in the region, including Sauvignon, Friulano, Pinot Grigio, Ribolla Gialla and Chardonnay. Primarily single-variety wines with a strong territorial identity, they are all connected by a common thread that is based on freshness, energy and smoothness.
