Zweigelt Christina 2021

Christina’s Zweigelt is produced in the heart of the Carnuntum region of Austria, on the outskirts of Vienna. This grape variety, one of Austria’s most iconic, was created in the early 20th century by the geneticist Friedrich Zweigelt through the cross-breeding of two existing varieties. The family-run winery switched to organic farming in 2013 and cultivates its vines without the use of chemicals. On the nose, notes of crisp cherry, floral hints, balsamic undertones and a touch of spice on the finish emerge. On the palate, it is smooth, juicy and lively with delicate tannins.
