"La Firma" is an important and complex Aglianico del Vulture, born from late-harvest grapes and aged for 12 months in barrique. The bouquet presents notes of black fruit and jam, with hints of licorice and carob. On the palate, it is powerful and harmonious, with a persistent and balsamic finish.

La Firma by Cantine del Notaio is an exemplary expression of Aglianico del Vulture, a wine monument that clearly reflects the character of its territory. It is an austere, imposing wine that initially strikes with its power, only to reveal its complex, mysterious, and elegant soul. The power does not become heaviness; rather, it becomes a fundamental tool for communicating the intricate character of this variety. Cantine del Notaio is located in Rionero in Vulture, in the province of Potenza, a chosen land for Aglianico from Lucania. The processes, both in the field and in the cellar, aim to be as non-invasive as possible, and for this reason, Cantine del Notaio draws inspiration from forms of organic and biodynamic agriculture, freely interpreted. The latter particularly adopts the scientific and experimental approach, which is the foundation of the daily work in the winery.

Cantine del Notaio La Firma is made from Aglianico grapes, hand-picked during the first decade of November at slight over-ripeness. The choice of this time is fundamental for allowing the tannin to mature sufficiently, smoothing its pronounced varietal harshness. The alcoholic fermentation phase is followed by aging, which takes place in natural caves of volcanic tuff. Here, for about 12 months, the wine matures in carats or tonneau of French oak. An additional period of 12 months in the bottle makes the wine ready for commercialization.

The Aglianico del Vulture La Firma has a ruby red color brightened by purple reflections. On the nose, it opens with aromas of black fruit and forest, accompanied by hints of carob and amaretto; pungent notes of aromatic herbs give an intriguing character to the bouquet, which closes with a finish of licorice. The jam also emerges in the taste, defined by a full, enveloping, and pleasantly fresh sip. Complexity, complexity, and again complexity and power: here you have Aglianico del Vulture.
