The Barbaresco Riserva “Muncagota” from the Produttori del Barbaresco is an intense, elegant, and structured Piedmontese red wine that retains grace and floral notes. It is aged in large barrels for 36 months and expresses aromas of violets, red fruits, leather, and sweet spices. The taste is rich, full-bodied, graceful, balanced, and pleasantly tannic.

This Riserva "Muncagota" is a Barbaresco where intensity, thickness, and grace coexist, offering a moment of true pleasure. Thanks to the great work done by the winery Produttori del Barbaresco, a production reality where the quality-price ratio always reserves pleasant surprises in every label, and that loves to express the DOCG of Barbaresco in different ways. This Riserva, in particular, embodies the magic of the Langhe in Piemonte, engaging the nose and palate with harmonious and balanced aromas and flavors. A great red for aging, to be savored until the last drop.

This Barbaresco Riserva "Muncagota" is made from pure Nebbiolo grapes, a great native variety of the Piemonte region. The grapes of this variety are cultivated within the cru that gives the label its name, Muncagota, characterized by a clayey and calcareous soil, facing southeast. The grapes, once harvested and taken to the winemaking facilities of the winery Produttori del Barbaresco, ferment alcoholically in steel, macerating on the skins for 28 days, also undergoing malolactic fermentation. The aging process begins with 36 months in oak barrels, and then, after bottling, continues for another 12 months in the bottle.

The "Muncagota" is a Barbaresco Riserva that, in the glass, presents itself with a very bright color, reminiscent of garnet shades. The bouquet of aromas enveloping the nose tells of layered notes, shifting from small red fruits and hints of violet to tertiary touches, where leather, tannins, and sweet spices alternate in a dance of intertwined nuances. On the palate, it is of excellent body, structured and austere, with a sip characterized by pleasant freshness and a texture where the tannins flow velvety. A red signed by one of the reference wineries for this DOCG, the Produttori del Barbaresco, a cooperative that year after year confirms itself as a name of absolute guarantee in the Piedmontese wine scene.
