The Barbera d'Alba "Marun" is a full-bodied and intense expression of the territory of Piemonte. The nose is marked by pleasant notes of spices and vanilla, with hints of red fruit. Freshness, elegance, and softness are the distinctive features of the taste profile

The Barbera d'Alba “Marun” by Matteo Correggia is one of the most representative labels of this Piedmontese winery, which interprets the territory and its historic grape varieties with great respect for tradition. There is no wine more linked to the daily habits of Barbera, always considered the ideal table companion for pairing with typical regional dishes. The quality of the grapes and careful vinification allow for the preservation of the characteristic fruity liveliness of the grape variety, combined with an elegance and complexity derived from a well-calibrated aging in wood, which always keeps the fragrance and freshness in the foreground.

Barbera d'Alba “Marun” is a Barbera d'Alba born from the desire of a young winemaker to bet on the value of his land, with the aim of producing straightforward wines. The estate is located in the Roero area, on the left bank of the Tanaro, facing the famous denominations of Barolo and Barbaresco. The “Marum” is made from grapes grown in the homonymous locality of estate, considered on par with a company cru for the always excellent quality of its production. The vineyards are located at an altitude of about 300 meters above sea level, with a south-facing exposure. The soils, composed mainly of sand, with the presence of silt and traces of clay, are light and well-draining, capable of giving the reds great expressive finesse. The harvest is done manually at the end of September and the best bunches are sent for fermentation in stainless steel tanks with maceration on the skins for about ten days. The wine matures for 4 months in 30-hectoliter barrels and in used barriques and tonneaux, before completing the aging with at least 10 months in the bottle.

The Barbera d'Alba “Marun” by Matteo Correggia perfectly expresses the peculiar characteristics of the Roero terroir, giving a version of the most popular wine of Piemonte all played on delicacy and elegance. In the glass, it presents a bright ruby color with youthful purple reflections. The bouquet is characterized by aromas
