Artisanal
Organic and biodynamicThe Barbera from Monferrato by Auriel is a enveloping and full-bodied red wine, with a rich and sumptuous sip that combines strength and elegance. It ages for about 12 months in large oak barrels and is not filtered, revealing a territorial and identity sensory profile, with aromas of ripe dark fruit like blackberries and plums, balsamic, spicy and mineral echoes and a fresh, tannic and full-bodied sip. Artisanal, Organic Wine
The Barbera del Monferrato from Auriel is a full-bodied and juicy red, capable of beautifully summarizing all the local characteristics. We are not at all surprised to taste another delicious wine signed by Auriel, a small reality from Monferrato that manages to interpret the territory sincerely, however elevating it with intricately crafted and highly centered liquids. There are only 3 hectares cultivated near Ponzano Monferrato, entirely dedicated to Grignolino and Barbera, which grow without the use of any chemical or synthetic substances, according to the principles of biodynamics. The important work in the vineyard translates into an impeccable winemaking phase, a true manifesto against the detractors of artisanal wines, given the millimetric precision and integrity of the produced liquids. An unmissable reality.
The red Barbera del Monferrato is produced with pure grapes of the same-named variety, cultivated in one of the most vocated subzones of Piedmont for the well-known red grape variety. In the vineyard, as already mentioned, the principles of biodynamics are followed, avoiding the use of herbicides, pesticides and fertilizers, in order to preserve the integrity of the soil and vineyard. In the winery, spontaneous alcoholic fermentations continue, and in the case of Barbera, aging takes place in oak barrels of 20/35 hectoliters. The wine undergoes no clarification or filtration before bottling.
The Barbera del Monferrato fills the glass with its intense and luminous ruby color. A dynamic and spontaneous olfactory impact, characterized by hints of plum, blueberry, graphite, and balsamic notes reminiscent of licorice and eucalyptus. A full, vital, and vigorous sip, a masterful synthesis of strength and velvety texture, perfectly balanced between freshness, tannin, and volume. One of the absolute top players under 20 euros.
