The Barolo "Arborina" by Elio Altare is an elegant and very intense Barolo, born in the homonymous cru of the municipality of La Morra and aged for 24 months in barrique. It is a warm, enveloping, robust, and structured wine, enriched by a triumph of fruity, floral, and spicy notes.

The Barolo 'Arborina' by Elio Altare represents an icon in the winemaking tradition of Piemonte, emerging as an emblematic product of a revolution in the sector that took place in the 1980s. Elio Altare, a prominent figure of the Piemonte winemaking innovation school, has significantly contributed to redefining the very concept of Barolo, bringing a breeze of change influenced by both France and the New World. This wine embodies the essence of an innovative and passionate approach to winemaking, marrying modern techniques with respect for tradition.

The roots of Barolo Arborina sink into the picturesque hills of the municipality of La Morra, in the heart of the Langhe, where the vineyards of varying ages, some dating back to 1948, rest on a mixed soil of marls and sandy clay, exposed to the southern sun. The production of this wine follows a rigorous philosophy of work in the vineyard, with a reduction of yields per hectare and particular care for the vegetative cycle of the vines. In the cellar, the winemaking and aging process occurs according to established traditions, with a skin maceration in rotofermenter, a drum-shaped tank used mainly for reds, and subsequent aging in French barriques for 24 months, which helps to give the wine its distinctive complexity and structure.

The Barolo Arborina by Elio Altare presents itself with a bright ruby red hue, enriched by garnet reflections that highlight its maturity. On the nose, fruity and floral notes emerge, evocative of flower petals, enriched by an ethereal and sweet background. On the palate, the wine reveals itself as elegant and feminine, with delicate tannins that blend harmoniously with an intense and well-structured taste. This Barolo is an ideal companion for rich and succulent dishes, pairing perfectly with the delicacies of the Piemonte tradition such as braised beef in Barolo. Its complexity and versatility make it an authentic and satisfying tasting experience for the most discerning connoisseurs.
