The Barolo from Serralunga by Luigi Pira is a red wine of good structure, aged for 24 months in 25 hl oak barrels. On the nose, it is accompanied by typical scents such as forest fruits, hints of leather and tobacco, and spicy notes. On the palate, it reveals a nice freshness, accompanied by balanced sensations, good persistence, and shows remarkable elegance.

This Barolo di Serralunga made by the Luigi Pira winery is a wine with a classic, elegant profile and the right softness on the palate. A bottle that honors and merits one of the most important denominations in all of Piemonte, confirming that Pira is a master in expressing the different crus that compose it, thanks to the presence of vineyards within the most prized parcels. A label that has received acclaim from both national and international critics, establishing itself as an opportunity not to be missed.

This red Barolo di Serralunga is born from the pure use of an indigenous Piemonte grape variety that has always been capable of producing great red wines, Nebbiolo. The grapes of this variety are cultivated by the team at the Luigi Pira winery in vineyards located about 320 meters above sea level, facing south and southeast, which sink their roots into a calcareous and clayey soil. The grapes, once harvested, ferment spontaneously, thanks to the presence of indigenous yeasts, in horizontal fermenters for about 12/15days, at controlled temperature. Then we proceed with the aging, which lasts for 24 months and takes place in 25 hectoliter wooden barrels.

The Barolo di Serralunga wine reveals itself to the eye with a hue reminiscent of garnet red. The aromatic profile is broad, developing notes of withered flowers, berries, and spices, derived from the time spent in wood. On the palate, it has excellent body, is enveloping, harmonious, with a sip characterized by a beautifully integrated tannic structure; it finishes with a good persistent aftertaste. The territory of the Langhe comes to life in this label signed by the Luigi Pira winery, a productive reality that, since 1950, loves to provide different expressions of the DOCG of Barolo.
