The Barolo Ornato by Palladino is an interpretation of the namesake cru characterized by power, elegance, and complexity, matured for 24 months in large oak barrels. It has a rich bouquet of red flowers, violets, cherries, rhubarb, and sweet spices, and a long and intense taste, with an austere and vigorous character

The red wine Barolo “Ornato” takes its name from one of the crus that make up the territory of Serralunga d’Alba. This is a particularly suited area for Nebbiolo, which the Palladino winery can fully exploit, giving rise to a strong and imposing product, with a solemn drinkability. A solid, intense, and fragrant Barolo, whose aftertaste presents a beautiful persistence. A label that conquers not only the palate of enthusiasts of Piedmontese red wines but also that of the main national industry critics.

This Barolo “Ornato” is born from the Nebbiolo grapes that the Palladino winery cultivates in one of the crus found within the municipality of Serralunga d’Alba, Ornato. Here the soil is characterized by a predominantly calcareous-clay component, and the vineyard owned by the Palladino winery is located at an altitude between 300 and 395 meters above sea level, with an optimal exposure to the south. The grapes, once harvested during the harvest phase, ferment in steel, and then mature in large oak barrels for two years. At the end of this period, the wine is then bottled and marketed.

The “Ornato” is a Barolo that, in the glass, reveals itself with a garnet ruby red color. Subtle and refined is the nose, which delicately releases fruity and floral notes, enriched by hints that tend towards rhubarb and sweet spices. On the palate, it is of great structure, muscular and energetic, with a powerful sip that conquers the palate thanks to an austere tannic texture; it ends with a finish that has excellent persistence. Palladino, a reality that loves to present the wines of the Piedmontese Langhe in a traditional version, tells of a territorial Barolo that pairs well with flavorful dishes of game and red meat.
