The Barolo by Pio Cesare is a classic interpretation of the Langhe, born from different crus with aging for 30 months in large barrels and barrique. It expresses charm and complexity: aromas of berry jam, humus, citrus peel and balsamic herbs. The sip is long, powerful and structured, with a significant tannic texture

A bottle that encapsulates all the beauty of the Langhe's most vocated areas for the production of Barolo. This Pio Cesare label succeeds in the feat of succinctly telling the story of the great and diverse Piedmontese terroirs, where Nebbiolo finds the ideal growing conditions to give life to a balanced and long-lived product. It is in fact made from a blend of grapes from all the winery's most prestigious vineyards, where each nuance tells of a hill and plot of land different from the next. A great red wine, where strength and finesse move in unison, giving a structured yet satisfying and flowing drink.

The Pio Cesare winery makes this Barolo like a real puzzle, starting with Nebbiolo grapes grown within the most important vineyards of Serralunga d'Alba, Grinzane Cavour, La Morra, Novello and Monforte d'Alba. The clusters, carefully selected during the harvest, ferment in steel, macerating slowly for about 25-30 days. After that comes the aging phase, carried out for 30 months in oak barrels and, for a small part of the mass, also in barriques.

The Barolo made by Pio Cesare presents itself in the glass with a light and soft ruby red color, tending to garnet in the rim. The nose is elegant and refined, where subtle fruity notes mingle with more mineral and balsamic herbal sensations. On the palate it is vigorous-bodied and muscular, with a structure that reveals itself, however, with a soft and pleasantly fresh sip, where the tannins appear with a well-defined profile; it ends with a long and persistent finish. An excellent label, classically and traditionally interpreting the terroir of the Langhe through one of the world's best-known red wines: worth trying to indulge in an evening of quality.
