Boca Elena Conti 2020
ArtisanalThe Boca from the Piedmont winery Elena Conti is a red wine that represents the expression of territory and tradition. This blend is made with grapes of Nebbiolo, Vespolina, and Uva rara, which are harvested with extreme care and attention to follow a spontaneous fermentation and a minimum aging of 3 years in wood. The color is ruby red with garnet reflections, the nose is intoxicated by intense aromas of ripe red fruit and sour cherry jam with a light toast in the background. The taste is warm, full, dry, with soft tannins and an extremely long finish.
The Boca wine presents itself in the glass with a ruby red color edged with garnet reflections. The nose, powerful, compressed, and evocative, unfolds references to marasca, clove, underbrush, and sweet spices. On the palate, the liquid reveals its austere compactness, a perfect interweaving of compact tannin, freshness, and intensity. Extraordinary already now, but also in 20 years. Perhaps even more!
porphyritic matrix and volcanic origin, particularly dry and acidic. As already mentioned, in the vineyard any chemical treatment is refused, banning pesticides, herbicides, and insecticides, and relying on copper, sulfur, and natural preparations. In the cellar, the process continues with spontaneous fermentations without temperature control in wooden vats, and maceration for about 1 month. The liquid ages for 3 years in large barrels. The Boca wine presents itself in the glass with a ruby red color edged with garnet reflections.
